Felita’s Love was birthed from a place of grief and gratefulness.

Kentisha Mazeke, Felitas Love

It was 2005, the first year I felt an abundance of grief due to the passing of my mother from colon cancer. Since then, I’ve grieved for a plethora of reasons: the passing of my grandparents in December 2015 (grandfather) and December 2016 (grandmother), people I didn’t know personally, people I only knew for a short while, failed relationships, and missed opportunities…just to name a few. You grieve what once was and what is no longer.

I questioned my faith and His will – then it clicked, battles rage when you are on the front-line. The life God gave me is not about me. I was created in God’s image to be on the front-line…to be a source of love, comfort and strength for other grievers. Grief birthed my purpose and my purpose helps bury my pain.

From Pain to Purpose is an empowerment movement inspired by my mother. In her weakest moments she remained faithful and was an inspiration to many. Felita’s Love encourages grievers to turn their pain into purpose. We propel women (and men) towards positive mental health and fulfillment of their life’s purpose through empowerment initiatives and other grief resources. We use our platform to connect women (and men) with life coaches, business coaches, mental health professionals and other resources that can help them enjoy life’s pleasures, believe in their own abilities, cope with the stresses of life and find their voice.

Our signature Pain 2 Purpose (P2P) Empowerment Conference focuses on mental health and attracts people from diverse backgrounds who are looking to connect with other like-minded individuals’ who are grieving, feel lost, stuck, and depleted, but yearn to feel free and alive. I believe in walking in your purpose, despite life’s challenges and ever-changing circumstances. My mission is to be a catalyst who encourages, inspires and motivates others to keep moving forward and turn their pain into purpose.

1 Thessalonians 5:11 says “Encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.” I am here to encourage, educate, serve in the community and be a blessing to others, like my mother is to me.
