About Us

Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.

Felita's Love

WHO ARE WE?

Felita’s Love is a 501(c)3 organization started in memory of the Founder’s mother, Felita Rollins who passed away on March 17, 2005 at 45 years old from colon cancer. Colon cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer death among men and women in the United States and young-onset colon cancer is on the rise.

Felita’s Love aims to bring awareness by educating individuals on the rising incidence of young-onset colon cancer. Colon cancer patients are considered young-onset if they are diagnosed before the age of 50. The rise of young-onset colon cancer led the American Cancer Society to revise its colon cancer screening guidelines to start at the age of 45 instead of 50.

Felita’s Love also acts as your advocate and resource guide by providing support, resources, and a sense of community to colon cancer fighters, survivors, caregivers and families.

WHAT IS OUR PURPOSE?

Our purpose is to bring awareness to young-onset colon cancer and to provide hope and inspiration to colon cancer fighters, families and survivors.

We provide a community where people can utilize us as a resource to find emotional, mental and financial support available to them.

WHAT WE DO?

We advocate for colon cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers by hosting and participating in community outreach and awareness events and by providing temporary co-pay assistance to colon cancer patients under the age of 45.
